"viridiflava" has the meaning of yellow-green. I wonder why is this name being applied to a plant with such red flowers ...
I only have a few Chiloschista species plants. I made a seed pod before for fun. I think it took about 3 months to ripen. However, I guess variations such as light intensity and water may lengthen or shorten the ripening period.
Very paiseh, my postings are all in English only because I do not have the relevant Chinese language software. Although I'm from Singapore, I have Chinese blood because some of my ancestors were immigrants from Hokkien province and Kwangtung province.
