Tillandsia argentea is a jewel of a species and very rare. It is from Cuba and as you can see from the photo, it has a red flower which is what separates it from the forms of T. fuchsii that are native to Mexico and Central America. The forms of T. fuchsii have grape violet flowers. In addition, the leaves of T. argentea are stiffer. Too bad it's so rare in cultivation, it's a wonderful plant.
