Vanda tricolor is always the favourite dumping ground for any uncommon/ unknown/ lost species (or even species-lookalike hybrids).
By the way, some experts believe Vanda tricolor occasionally produces natural hybrids with other species in its range, such as Vanda lombokensis and Vanda insignis from the Lesser Sundas. Indeed, some of the wild plants I have seen don't look pure to me.

Hi Speciosa, Yes, I agree with you that the lobe looks different. But I think this could be a diff. variation of v. merrillii. I can not recall if there is any other vanda with this kind of colous. What do you think?

You also notice something about the plant?
I guess it is not Vanda tricolor but I also guess it is not Vanda merrilii.
You look at the shape and colour of mid-lobe again. You want another try at the identity of this plant?
